Drinking blue milk and Vader cookie on May 4th
We watched (most of) the Star Wars saga on the May 4th bank holiday weekend, and in the rest of May saw Saturn at Hampstead Observatory, went to a comedy show in Camden, ate on a Chinese boat, and walked up a lot of hills in Dorking.

Star Wars, star gazing, and star anise (maybe?)

Machete Marathon

Having been meaning to rewatch Star Wars again for quite a while, the May 4th weekend seemed like a good opportunity. Tim had read about the Machete Order for watching episodes II to VI in, so we decided to try it out.

We bought Danish pastries, and Emily made some awesome dark side/light side cookies. We also had, of course, blue milk.

Hampstead Observatory

We visited Hampstead Observatory a couple of times, including one night where Mars, Jupiter and Saturn were all visible.

The telescope isn't particularly powerful, but we could see a couple of stripes on Jupiter, and Saturn's rings, which I'd never seen before.

Comedy and Chinese

We all went to see The Beta Males performing the first iteration of their next comedy show in a small pub in Camden. Afterwards, we went to the floating chinese restaurant on Regents Canal, where Tim generously treated us to dinner. The food was really good and we had a good selection between the five of us.

Walking in Dorking

As training for our Lake District walking holiday we went to Dorking to walk around the woodland there, which was set on a few decent gradients. It was also a pretty area.
