Apart from walking in the Lake District, in June I also made strawberry ice cream, visited Richmond Park for the first time, and visited High Rocks in East Sussex.
Ice cream, Richmond, and High Rocks
Strawberry Ice Cream
Emily's mum had a surplus of home-grown strawberries, and I suggested making strawberry ice cream with them. We puréed and sieved half of the strawberries into a syrup, and quartered the rest. We mixed this into whipped cream and about a quarter natural yoghurt, then froze.

It turned out delicious!
Richmond Park
For a nice long walk we went to Richmond Park, which I'd not visited before. We saw St Paul's Cathedral through a gap in a bush, walked over wooden bridges, and waded through long grass.
As we were heading towards the exit, we saw a deer nearby in the bracken.

High Rocks
We went to High Rocks, walking from Tunbridge Wells station, first having a climb on the high rocks in the common there.
We got to High Rocks proper, and ate lunch on one of the ledges overlooking the heritage railway line.

After lunch, we walked to Harrison's Rocks and then back to the station. It was a good day out. High Rocks was definitely worth a visit, and was pretty quiet when we went.
