Daily update, Sunday 2020-03-22

iguanaToday's been a surprisingly social day for me given that I haven't left the house. Snake gang on Whatsapp, parents on Skype video. Tried out Mozilla Hubs with Tobi, Leah, and co, which was a nice excuse to hang out with people I have meant to see more of. (It was weird, we broke it in several exciting ways. The idea of a virtual space to hang out in is appealing, might have been more functional with a VR headset as intended.)
Throughout most of the afternoon I played a game of Ticket to Ride with Ems and Tim, using a combination of Hangouts, Google Slides, and an IRC bot I wrote. The bot didn't crash and most of the issues I'm going to file for it were reasonably minor UI issues, so I'm pretty happy with that. I am open to trying it again with anyone else interested.
On top of that, I got the kitchen worktops and hobs cleaned, something I have been a bit lax about recently, and it's nice to have a clean kitchen again.
And Sonic Mania. The developers seem to have a knack for picking some of my least favourite zones from the original games to adapt, though I'm enjoying the mix of several zones in one.
I've developed a bit of a cough and some aches this evening, but that might just be because I've been sitting at a different table to usual and talking way more than usual. At any rate I'm "socially distancing" for the foreseeable future.
