It was around the 3rd March that I first mentioned COVID-19 on my Twitter feed and I planned to essentially lock down the weekend following that, two weeks before the official lockdown ended up beginning, not least because I had an Important Appointment that I really didn't want to be ill for. (That ended up being rescheduled to be a video call, so it worked out okay.) My (now previous) employer scuppered that plan somewhat by calling me into London for an international meeting, but as far as I know I didn't pick anything up.New passport, Sonic Mania, Ticket to Ride
My new passport arrived this month, and ended up being one of the last of the burgandy stock. I haven't had a chance to use it for travel yet.
I played through and completed Sonic 3 & Knuckles and then bought Sonic Mania, and finished a preliminary run by the end of the month. S3&K remains my favourite of the series.
I wrote Traingame, a bot for dealing with the cards during remote sessions of Ticket to Ride, intially as an IRC bot, then also adapted it to Discord, writing a huge patch for PyNode in the process, which got accepted as an official patch and is now released in version 0.5, whee.
I played a lot of Ticket to Ride with Emily and Tim using the Traingame bot and a shared Google Slides presentation, which worked pretty well.
I also started writing some daily updates in this journal, which were quite useful as rubber-duck counselling if nothing else, since obviously there were Quite A Few Things Going On.
