New skate wheels
That said, Samathy surprised me with a present one session! She got me some orange LED wheels that light up when they're moving, and they look so cool! She brought a skate tool as well so we were able to put them on right there in the rink, and I was grinning for the rest of the session, and every time I notice them thereafter too!

Dragonfruit 2
The original dragonfruit plant's main vine is now a year old! Apparently January is when they like putting on new growth here, because the cutting I took has also put out its own main vine-to-be!
The elder plant is also doing well, and has put out one more primary branch, and one secondary branch off one of the longer branches.

Sonics the Comics
Continuing my current interest in Sonic the Comic (via Sonic the Comic the Podcast) I decided to read ahead a bit and then pick an issues I liked so I can have a hard copy to have around while listening to the podcast.
While browsing eBay I also realised that this would give me a chance to read a full issue for the first time as a hard copy rather than the scans available online, so got three in the end.
So I now own issues 74, 75, and 76 which all have various things going for them. They're dated between March and April 1996, when I would've been nearing the end of Year 6 in primary school.
It was nice to have a sense of how the comic was laid out, what sort of paper it used, and get the adverts and pin-ups too, which the scans don't include. I also got a sense how much better everything looks in print resolution!
The StC community seems to be lovely too. I got the issues from two different sellers, and both of them did a cute sonic drawing on the envelope!
